What is a temporary email address?
A temporary email address is a short-lived inbox used to receive messages without sharing your permanent email. It is useful for one-time sign-ups, testing, verification messages, and reducing unwanted email.
Do I need to register?
No. A mailbox is generated without requiring an account, password, or personal email address.
How long does a mailbox stay active?
The active lifetime is shown on the mailbox page. Mailboxes and messages may be removed automatically when the timer ends or during maintenance and abuse cleanup.
Can I receive verification codes?
Yes, many verification emails arrive normally. Delivery is not guaranteed because some websites block disposable domains or use filters outside our control.
Can I send or reply to emails?
The public temporary mailbox is intended mainly for receiving messages. Sending or replying may not be available.
Can I choose a custom address?
Where enabled, you can enter a custom mailbox name and select from available domains. A requested name may be unavailable or rejected for security reasons.
Are temporary inboxes private?
They offer separation from your personal inbox, but they should not be treated as confidential. Anyone who knows the address may be able to access its messages.
Can I use temporary email for important accounts?
No. Do not use it for banking, healthcare, government services, password recovery, subscriptions you need long term, or accounts containing sensitive information.
Why has an email not arrived?
The sender may be delayed, the message may be filtered, the domain may be blocked, the address may be incorrect, or the mailbox may have expired. Refresh the inbox and verify the address before trying again.
Are attachments supported?
Some messages may include attachments. Only open files from senders you trust, and never run unknown software or scripts.
Why does a website reject my temporary address?
Some websites block disposable domains to reduce abuse or require a long-term contact address. You must follow that website’s rules.
Does InstantTempMail track me?
The website may process basic technical logs, essential storage, analytics, and advertising data as explained in the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
Can I recover a deleted or expired mailbox?
Usually not. Temporary mailboxes are not designed for recovery or permanent storage.
How do I report abuse?
Use the Report Abuse page and include the relevant mailbox, message, URL, time, and any evidence that can help the investigation.
Is the service free?
Core temporary inbox features are currently offered without a user subscription. Advertising or limits may be used to support operating costs.
